The wind speed contours from SMOS wind (pink) at 34 (left), 50 (middle), and 64 kt (right) are superimposed with Automated Tropical Cyclone Forecasting wind-radii forecasts (thick black). The direction of motion of the storm in the Best Track is from SE to NW.
